Crafting Futures Across Canada & Beyond

About Us

At adeli Academy, our mission is to empower students with tailored, research-driven guidance — from admission to arrival — ensuring every student’s journey to Canada and beyond begins with clarity and confidence.

Rooted in Toronto,
Built for the World

Eliza (Marti) Navera understood firsthand the complex journey from Asian academic systems to North American universities. Her affinity for navigating diverse cultures, translating student stories, and decoding unwritten admissions criteria was first sparked when she helped her partner, Adam, gain admission to one of Canada's most renowned undergraduate business programs. Adam's transformative experience as a graduate of the International Bachelor of Business Administration (iBBA) program at York University's Schulich School of Business ultimately became the stepping stone to redefine results and success in international educational consulting. In 2019, Adam and Eliza founded adeli inc., partnering with an emerging educational consulting firm serving Chinese international students. In 2020, Eliza and her brother, Joseph, completed their undergraduate education from Queen's University (Honours BSc in Mathematics) and Toronto Metropolitan University (Honours BEng in Chemical Engineering), respectively. Immediately upon graduating, Joseph joined Adam and Eliza in transforming a small operation into one of Canada's premier educational consulting firms among the international Chinese student community. The explosive demand in international student opportunities precipitated by the pandemic accelerated the operational foundation that Adam, Eliza, and Joseph established. With Adam initially formulating the basis of operations, Joseph joined as Resume Manager and quickly expanded his role into Corporate Relations, forging strategic partnerships that created workplace opportunities for thousands of students with companies spanning from financial technology firms to Lamborghini Toronto. Building upon Adam's operational base, Eliza created and oversaw the protocols and standards associated with every aspect of client application management and communications, allowing thousands of students to gain admission to world renowned institutions from the University of Toronto to MIT. In less than 18 months, Adam, Eliza, and Joseph grew their team to 30 dedicated professionals, serving over 2,000 clients. Every acceptance letter, every student success story, and every operational challenge shaped their understanding of what the educational consulting field could become.

The Pivot
Redefining Educational Consulting

Scaling from two founders to thirty professionals between 2020 and 2022 revealed systemic tensions within the educational consulting landscape. Adam and Eliza recognized that the industry had increasingly prioritized institutional partnerships based on commission structures, creating an environment where consultant recommendations aligned with enrollment incentives rather than student potential. What began as guidance had devolved into quota fulfillment masked as a personalized service at the cost of enhanced academic and professional opportunities.  While successfully facilitating thousands of placements across Canada’s leading universities including the University of Toronto, McGill, and UBC, Eliza and Joseph recognized a troubling disparity. Filipino families seeking educational consulting accessed a fundamentally different tier of service in the form of pathways centred on mediocre college partnerships rather than competitive universities that catalyze optimal career trajectories.  For Eliza and Joseph, their realization of the industry also carried personal weight. As Filipino-Canadians educated in Canada's leading institutions, they understood the transformative impact of attending universities, where Filipino representation remained notably absent. Witnessing talented Filipinos, both domestically and internationally, constrained to limited pathways while possessing the capability for far more sparked their commitment to expand access to the Filipino community.  Fuelled by their success in redefining educational consulting among the international Chinese student community, they made the conscious decision to exit their partnership with their co-founders in early 2025.

Our Philosophy
in Practice

In February 2025, Adam, Eliza and Joseph founded the adeli Academy – a boutique, white-glove educational consulting firm built on a deliberately different foundation.  No institutional commissions. No partnership-driven recommendations. No conflicts between student outcomes and financial incentives.  The philosophy of the adeli Academy remains grounded in opening doors to globally recognized institutions to Filipino families historically underserved by conventional consulting models. Having experienced how degrees from the world’s best universities compound professional opportunities across generations, the adeli Academy was built to ensure university access to the Filipino community and beyond remains determined by student potential, rather than college partnerships conducive to mediocre academic and professional outcomes. At adeli Academy, we do not settle for manufactured narratives. Rather, our philosophy strives to reveal the authentic story behind every candidate, resulting in over 5,000 students receiving admission to institutions spanning from UBC, MIT, to the University of Oxford.  We look forward to the privilege of working with you and helping you craft your future.

Our Growth Story

2019

Adam and Eliza founded adeli inc., partnering with an emerging educational consulting firm serving the Chinese international student market. They built the operational backbone — systems, teams, and processes — that transformed a startup into Canada's most recognized consulting firm across the international student community.

2020

The global pandemic created unprecedented demand for graduate consulting services. Eliza and her brother, Joseph, having just completed degrees in mathematics and engineering, respectively, joined Adam to meet the needs of a rapidly expanding student population. Together, they scaled operations dramatically, refining the systems that would ultimately serve over 8,000 students across 18 countries seeking admission to competitive institutions worldwide.

2022

Eliza, Adam & Joseph successfully secured over 4,500 acceptances to institutions including MIT, Cambridge, Oxford, and every Ivy League university. This milestone represented years of understanding what admissions committees value and how to position international candidates effectively across cultural contexts.

2023

Marti & Adam's mere vision in 2019 culminated in considerable success: a multi-million dollar operation serving hundreds of students, securing thousands of acceptances to the world's most selective institutions. Yet scale exposed an inherent contradiction, as the systems built to serve more students were undermining the depth of understanding that produced genuine outcomes. As artificial intelligence began commoditizing educational consulting, Eliza, Adam & Joseph recognized that meaningful work in this space would require what automation cannot replicate: cultural intelligence, strategic discernment, and sustained personal partnership. The adeli Academy was founded on this conviction.

2025

The adeli Academy represents a return to what educational consulting was meant to be: genuine partnership in service of student potential. Free from institutional partnerships and volume constraints, the founders dedicate themselves to families seeking more than processing — they seek understanding. Every consultation, every application, every acceptance reflects a decade of experience now channeled toward depth rather than scale. This is the adeli Academy's founding principle: that transformative guidance cannot be systematized, only practiced with intention.
